Their souls are in captivity
They have become prisoners of themselves
They can't escape the jail because its a life sentence
Living in fear of their jailers ,'the society'
Some people hate how brave you are to be free and floating spreading your colors all over the sky without any fear of what people will say
You resemble their wildest dreams
You are walking in their wishes ,thats why they be in their feelings
When they grow up they want to be you.
For some the hate is just the sand they be throwing in the pit trying to bury the casket of desires they have every-time they see you.
They hate themselves for being who they really are ,when you are around them .
There is a battle everywhere you go
You fight against yourself
You are in a war with the society
Your life is a war zone and you are fighting so hard for your sit in this world
When you burn make sure you illuminate every dark corner so that it will be hard for them not to appreciate you
Keep fighting for we have lost so many of our brothers and sisters in this war of existence
Your presence threatens their culture and they are scared of change like its a monster
The world doesn't change but people do
Make them know.
You gotta be tough to be who you are when the whole world tells you other wise .
If God didn't approve
He wouldn't have given us a choice to choose who we want to be
The only sinners are them not you cause the only rule which binds them all is Love Thy neighbor
With God nothing is impossible live your life the way you want to be remembered
And always remember it rains everywhere .

Dear Homophobes,
Growing up as what would most describe as a tomboy,
neither my childhood friends nor I equated tomboyish girls with sexuality.
To them, it was nothing more than just clothing preference!
See to me, it was a preference and more.
Preference with a concoction of carnal’ feelings for women...
But, how could one have known? When there was brother patriarchy, the greatest narcissists of them all.
Prescribing everyone with a ‘how to live a life’ prescription like they were Dr. Strange,
forgetting life does not revolve around them!
That one day, they could wake up to taking orders from their ‘inferior other,’
that life is too short to spend it all squeezing yourself to fit into some minute box.
That black is not just one color; there are shades to it!
That if one can understand the former, then one can understand the latter,
That sexuality is a spectrum; there are variants to it!
I wish somebody had told me back then to say to the Dr, NO!

What do i stand for ?
"Be strong," mother reminds
"You have a whole community looking up to you."
Stand tall so you demand respect
Then, they will listen: give you all the respect
You are one that none should forget.
You are the revelator the one to bring change."
"Stand strong," father compels,
"So, people can admire you.
Show how unique, how wonderfully made you are.
They will see, and know, if you stand strong."
"Be confident,' my friend cheers me up,
"Don't waver for I may fall.
You are essential, a rock, a shield,
A safe place amidst a storm. For me, stand steady.
For you are a mountain"
What do i stand for ?
I stand tall so I am not swept away.
I am a voice of the voiceless
I am gonna be strong so I may see the light at end of the tunnel
Every cloud has a silver lining, hold on to me
I stand with confidence because there is no one to hold me and a whole community looking up to me
I stand still ,my rainbow flag waving so high that the whole tribe will see i am here
There is chaos before me, destruction behind.
If I stand tall, strong, steady, still, I may,
One day, reach the heavens above me,
There rest awaits the community ,
'Till then I stand.
