HOMOPHOBIC STEROTYPES (Dear straight people)

 

Dear straight people 

Not all homosexuals are effeminate,

Who gave you this idea that gay people are supposed to be limp wristed,

Have a swish walk and talk with a lisp?

Stop assuming that all lesbians are masculine,

That they have short hair and wear man tailored suits. 

Dear straight people most gays and lesbians behave just like everybody else.

You can have a gay husband and wife 

And not even notice just because we are as “normal” as y’all .

Dear straight people don’t confuse sexuality and gender
They are two different things,
But combined in many different ways, don’t be ignorant.
A gay person chooses to be with the person of the same gender
It doesn’t mean they wish to change to be a male or female.
Dear straight people don’t just assume that every straight acting person is heterosexual,
And stop assuming that every feminine guy or masculine female is gay.

Dear straight people
Gay people are not mentally ill or somehow sick.
We cannot be cured because we are not sick.
Homosexuality is not a sin .
Stop assuming that every gay person is going to hell
Because If God was straight, he would be a fine ally.
I mean Why else would he create rainbows, if he is not with us?
So, stop assuming we are going to hell.
Stop making your children go through the trauma of being called demonic by your pastors and prophets.
Being gay is just like being heterosexual,
We don’t choose to be different,
I mean why would we choose to be victims of hate.

Dear straight people
Stop the “all_gays_have_HIV “stereotype
With the media attention focused almost obsessively on HIV,
The spotlight has turned on gays but not in a flattering way.
Men have always been identified as the largest group of people having HIV
Certainly it is true that gay men have a borne a large share of the burden of the HIV epidemic in Africa.
But dear straight people growth of HIV is currently fastest among straight people
And HIV is virtually unknown among lesbians.

Dear straight people
Every person is capable of being a child molester; this is not determined by your sexuality,
Gay people are not child molesters.
If a teacher is discovered to be gay,
There will surely be an outcry that he should be fired based on the belief that he will try and seduce all the boys in the school.
Dear straight people, let me clarify this to you
Gay people don’t want to get in bed with every other person they meet,
Especially not children.
Seems as if people who worry about this,
Never seem to worry about how heterosexual men are continuously raping our daughters.
This is how disgusting this world is, its thick here .
Dear straight people most adolescents experiment with their sexuality with peers their own age.
Therefore there is no reason to assume that gay people are child molesters.

Dear straight people
Stop suffocating us in all your false myths and we are not confused or experimenting we just as human as everyone else.
